Conflict of Interest Disclosure: Seminar—The Business of Architectural Photography is a seminar that I am offering to ASMP Chapters. I will not charge ASMP National but will be seeking sponsorship and funding directly to each chapter to recover travel, food+lodging exenses+speaking fees. I will not approach National for those funds.
Ballot Statement: The challenges we face in dealing with increasing demands of licensing rights, mass electronic distribution and what we will be potentially facing in the future is critical. Reaching out and empowering our members, emerging photographers and students through education has been a major part of what ASMP is engaged in. Through education, ASMP has channeled and drawn in many new members. Our current web site and the information that is available to our members is amazing as are the publications, seminars that are available. Exploring and defining new and future business strategies are just as important. I fully support this on going process that ASMP is engaged in. I hope to participate more in this process, either in further program development or participating in any way to continue this process.
I discovered the value of working together to initiate changes where needed through the Architectural Specialty Group’s list serve. We have been involved in several issues through the ASG, directly related to our specialty where positive results were achieved by working together. By sharing information, learning from each other and taking on these issues that challenge us every day, we have accomplished a great deal as both individuals and as a professional organization.

The Aspen/Bradshaw Leadership conferences, helped guide me though my first term as Northern California’s Chapter President in 1999–2001. Through those conferences, I discovered that I was part of a larger community. I had the opportunity to meet and interact with members from across the country. We had similar concerns, hopes and dreams for our various chapters and those conferences gave us the training to guide and expand our chapters.
